According to Police, Ray was shot by a visitor Sunday evening on the front porch of his home, while a birthday party for a 5-year-old was taking place inside.
.A neighbor of Ray, Dan Frayling Sr., said he saw the teenager talking to the suspect on the porch. "(The teen) came on the porch. (He) knew who this was. Next thing I know, the dude pulled out a pistol and shot him." Frayling said he heard four shots and then he saw the gunman run off. Frayling then called 911.
It has been stated that the birthday party was unrelated to the shooting. While it is unclear if any of the children inside saw what happened; none of them were hurt.
