The Deity Of Jesus Christ: GOD WITH US (10 of 10)

The works of the flesh will never justify any man before God. Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Cain sought God by his own means instead of trusting the way God said to approach him by. This is why he and his works (of carnal means and wisdom) were rejected by him. All false religion is based on means by which self reaches unto God. He made a way to reach him (his strong hand made provision when there was none) and we must accept the bridge (the means to be acceptable in his sight) of Christ Jesus on his terms. Instead many have embraced the traditions of men that make the word of God to none effect, which is the flesh. 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. Romans 8:1-14 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (make alive or to raise up) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. We (Christians) now have the same mind and spirit as Christ had by our obedience to his word. Galatians 5:16-21 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, sedition, heresies, Envying, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Even Christians are not immune to sinning but do not remain in them for very long. Peter sinned and was rebuked by Paul in front of all of Galatia (the church). Repentance is the key to overcoming sin and Satan. That coupled with obedience (which is manifested by faith) sets us free through the great grace of God. Idols are anything placed above God. It can be a simple cell phone or Ipod. It can your husband or wife. We are commanded to seek God first and with our all. Envy means desiring something else than that which is lawful here. Coveting any person's wife, or possession's is a example of this. be content with what God has given you. Should you lack something pray in faith for it. But we first must conform to his image and rule. Thy will be done has to be your motto daily. Drinking and partying is not in the will of God. God may lead you to witness to your former friends by attending their social functions. Jesus went to sinners but did not partake of their sins. All things should be done in wisdom and truth. When in doubt pray it out to God. listen to his still small voice as it talks to you. Have a blessed day in the Lord God.
