Fiery goat's head

REPENT AMARILLO is a great example of the shadowy line between militias and evangelicals. With Repent Amarillo, the evangelical part supercedes the militia part.

RA’s website is a well crafted amatuer website that looks like a U.S. military site. There are humvies, choppers, fatigues and big walkie talkies. They claim to be warriors for Jesus Christ.

They claim that they are “not protestors”.

What they do is harass people.

The best part of Repent Amarillo’s website is the section called “Warfare Map”. In it you will find all the places on interest for RA in and around the Amarillo area.

The google map has four different categories of places Repent Amarillo likes to battle.

· The red pin indicates a place of a “Sexually Oriented Business” like a porn shop or swinger’s club.

· The blue pin marks the place of all “OccultOccult Witchcraft”.

· The green pin is for places of “Idol Worship”

· The yellow pin is for a “Compromised Church”

Among the “Occult Witchcraft” is a Nature Center which has a section called “Earth Circle”. This is bad because there is a “Pagan group” around Amarillo that calls itself “Earth Circle” and pagans usually pray in places called “Earth Circles”. Although there are no pagan rituals conducted at the nature center, it doesn't stop RA members from harassing people there.

Others in that category include palm readers, new age stores, a Masonic lodge and head shops.

In the "Idol Worship" category is a mosque, a Hindu temple, a Buddhist temple and a bunch of church’s Repent Amarillo does not agree with.

A “Compromised Church” is one that is a bit liberal with it’s gay members…meaning they don’t make them repent for being gay.

Some of the comments that appear when you click on one of the pins are really funny (in a very offensive way).

Examples:

For the Hindu temple, the comment reads, “Hindus can’t make up their minds about what is and is not a god so they worship 2.5 million false gods”

For The Universalist Church, “Teaches everyone goes to heaven. This calls Christ a liar. You cannot be a Christian if you call Christ a liar.” (That one is my favorite)

Another entry that cracked me up was for something called “Beavers Gentlemen’s Club”, obviously marked with a red pin. The comment says, “Total nude strip club”. I found this funny because most of the other strip clubs say “strip club”, by “Beavers”…someone at RA knows the difference between Beavers and other strip clubs.

This is a group of “Christians” that believe in witches, magic and the military. These are your local extremists. If they lived in Afghanistan and were Muslims, you’d have bombed them in 2001.

They harass people in parking lots. They jot down license plates, make harassing calls, go through people’s garbage and try to humiliate people in hopes of turning them into Christian.

Their mission goals involve harassing at breast cancer events and Earth Day events, among others. They want to bring their warped vision of Christianity to grade school children and spring breakers.

They also hit up "demonic concerts" for some harassing and stalking.

Funny...for people that have a webpage with a firey image of a goat's head.

The last thing on the mission page reads, “Some other missions occasionally employed may be “undercover operations” where the groups show up together but are not publicly visible together to effect the outcome of a public meeting such as city commissioners, etc.

That last part, coupled with the map, and fatigues the members wear, frighten the hell out of all the other Christians and non-Christians that RA stalks, harasses and terrorizes.

An excerpt from the oath the “soldiers” of Repent Amarillo take:

The devil cannot defeat me. People cannot disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me, and hell cannot handle me. I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my Commanding officer calls me from His battlefield, He will promote me to captain and then allow me to rule with Him. I am a soldier in this army, and I'm marching claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not turn around. I am a soldier, marching Heavenbound. Here I stand! Will you stand with me?

I don’t know why they hate Islam and Buddhists…RA says things similar to both philosophies. Actually some of what they say is exactly the kind of thing a suicide bomber says on tape a few days before he blows himself up, along with innocent people.

Repent Amarillo likes to call themselves the "Army of God". Hezbollah means the "Party of God"...funny.

If they lived in Afghanistan and were Muslims, you’d have bombed them in 2001.

That's a stupid statement, for one thing the peace loving religion of islam would have killed the Christians prior to the bombing and peace loving muslims would have killed the owners and patrons of the clubs.

If you want to compare them with someone, why not the gay movement or any other, they do the exact same thing, they follow you or try to ruin your business. So when will your article on the other groups be written? Let me guess NEVER because you just hate conservatives and christians, seeing how thats what your peace loving muslim religion teaches you.

The reason this post was written was because of the connection between religion and militias...hence the comparison between them and the extremist in Afghanistan.

I don't know too many, or any, militia minded gays, so there will be no story written about it till I do know of one.

If I compare Christian extremism with Muslim extremism, then I'm preaching hate? I'm writing against people that believe in witches and magic and those that want to harass people of other faiths...last I heard that was a very unAmerican thing to do. Last I heard it was the kind of thing we ridiculed other countries for, because we don't do things like that.

Harassing other religions is a bad thing pollard, we as a country decided that a long time ago. And we also decided that harassing people for their private lives is a bad thing too.

Like harassing gays for being gay.

And where is your article about gays that harass people? Because I don't know of any instances of that?

"REPENT AMARILLO is a great example of the shadowy line between militias and evangelicals."

"shadowy line"? Please... time to get off the drama lama... *LOL* I am an evangelical, and know many, many more; none of them are militia members. I know some militia members; they're not Evangelicals.

You're right, however in calling out this particular group; they're whack-jobs. They don't have any resemblance to evangelicals though. Christian extremism is as bad as any other kind of religious extremism. On that, you're spot on the money.

"This is a group of “Christians” that believe in witches, magic and the military. These are your local extremists. If they lived in Afghanistan and were Muslims, you’d have bombed them in 2001."

I wouldn't worry much; they don't know much about Pagans or Witches, magic, or apparently Christianity... but apparently the military been berry berry good to them.

I will always, however, support them in principle, because they have every right to be and believe the way they do(nutso as it is), as long as the act within the law.

I supported them until I read about the harassing phone calls and following people and going through their garbage. I don't know what the laws are about that in Texas, but if I catch anyone going through my garbage, I'm shooting people...lol, not really, but I am calling the cops and filing charges, getting restraining orders.

You seem to be pre-judging all Christians as offensive. Are all non-believers ignorant? I should hope not but by your standards they are. Thankfully, many Christians do not shoot from the hip as you have done in your many stories. And point of note, when one takes out his/her garbage into a public street it becomes accessable by law to all and anyone, including the police.

I don't think I talked about Christians at large anywhere in this post. I think I only talked about Repent Amarillo.

And I don't know where you get the whole "Are all non-believers ignorant" thing from.

This is the kind of crap non-believers point to when they attack religion. This is the kind of thing they point to and say that believers are ignorant and bigoted.

Really, someone that calls me and harasses me and stalks me and wears fatigues and threatens me with damnation and then is found going through my garbage is doing nothing wrong or illegal...I find that hard to believe. I'm sure I wouldn't be able to get away with anything like that.
And if I can get away with that...there are a lot of Christian groups just like RA that I'd like to harass in the same manner.
Actually there's a crazy terrorist Jewish group in Skokie that I should get a bunch of Muslims to harass, that'll probably end well.

You know when I was in school, only the bullies thought bullying was cool and okay, everyone else just thought they were @$$holes.

Religious fanatics like RA and others are just @$$holes. What the hell are they doing praying and harassing private citizens outside of strip clubs and new age stores? What the hell are they doing calling them up and threatening them?

You think they're making Christianity appealing or appauling? Do you think they're making religion appealing or appauling?

Hey Im a Pagan and I put up another article for this and have almost no views and no comments but congratulations at leaste you got it up you said " I'm writing against people that believe in witches and magic and those that want to harass people of other faiths"

Does that mean your against Pagans? Or does it mean you dont believe in Witches and Magic so theyre out of their mind?

Either way I disagree with you. Im a NeoPagan and belong to a group of Witches and Wizzards and Pagans from all sorts of back grounds, I believe in and serve Shakti and Shiva God and Godess that comes from Hindu traditions and is practiced in Tantra and Kundalini Yoga.

I practice Kundalini Yoda Meditation and worship and serve the God and Godess everyday. I believe in magic, we do exist and were very aware of this man and his group.

It almost sounds like you have categorized all of the groups that this man harrasses as bad or good, saying you dont know why hed harrass
Gay lesbian church or Buhdists and muslims becaus etheyre not that bad.

I have a newsflash for you , our church, our UU church which is Pagan and several Pagan groups in Dallas we are affiliated with and socialize and fellowship with several if not all the rainbow and gay lesbian Christian churches of Dallas, and we have many Christians on our side!

We unite with them on stuff like Gay Pride day and sometimes they show up for Pagans pride day and we visit their place of worship and they come over and even speak to and give speaches at our congregation, were comletely involved with openand accepting Christian churches of Dallass and were here and getting bigger and bigger were to stay.
