Just before few hours General Sarth Fonseka , who was the army commander and common opposition candidate for the last presidential election has arrested by the army.

Army spokesman says that Sarath Fonseka has arrested for committing military offences.

Presdient Mahinda Rajapakshe has won and reelected as the president of Sri Lanka and opposition parties including General Sarath Fonseka has been claiming the results were created.
