UK Invasion of Turks and Caicos is Not a Political Party Platform

The UK's invasion of the Turks and Caicos has turned into a matter of "how" or "if" to rid UK from the Turks and Caicos. The matter has set off a firestorm of political opposition between the political parties.

Somehow, the political parties in the Turks and Caicos are now divided over the presence of the UK self imposed governance in their country. It has been created into a political platform issue between the two major political parties, the PNP and the PDM. The PNP calls UK's presence illegitamate, while the PDM remains wholly silent on the matter perhaps in trust of UK's promises.

The problem is that this is not a political debate issue, rather a democracy issue. It should not be debated. The UK has created a test of wills over their occupation between the parties, but this fight is manufactured.

The fact is that the UK has no democratic right to be installed in Turks and Caicos. It was an overthrow of the Galmo Williams goverment in August 2009. The UK does not even have the permission of its own government to be in Turks and Caicos. The reason that the UK citizen have not heard a peep on the matter of Turks and Caicos is because Parliament never voted on it. The people of Turks and Caicos have not voted on it. The UN made warnings against UK's invasions. This is clearly an undemocratic coup d'etat.

The UK's occupation of Turks and Caicos is not a political party debate, rather a civil rights and humanitarian debate. The UK is leading the Turks and Caicos by dictatorship and is using people and opposition parties as a means to continue infighting by creating denouncement of each other. This is to the UK's political advantage.

Turks and Caicos, do not let this issue divide you. UK's self imposed governance should not be a topic for debate. There are plenty of strong leaders who can get the country back on track for the benefit of the people and culture of Turks and Caicos. Let the knowledge of your own strengths unite you. Without unity, Turks and Caicos will never get its independence back. Don't let the UK use a puppet government by one its chosen parties. Every political party needs to speak out against UK's governance there. Do the research, see the facts, see how buried the Turks and Caicos have become and will be. There is evidence and past history of UK over lording to consider closely.

Chris, thanks for your coverage. Sometimes you drag on, but very often you bring stories to light that the local journalists are forgetting or just to care about.

The Brits are having fun watching the infighting within the PNP and the do nothing PDM shadow party. We all need to focus on the marginalization of the locals in TCI. It is happening currently under our so called watchful eyes.
Everyday I read articles from all sides in TCI and not 1 is stating the story like it is, relating the fact that what TCI is going through was not welcomed by the citizens. It is about time the news papers and the blog sites go out there and talk to the citizens of the islands. Stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sitting behind their desks and manipulating the situation for personal gains or to help a political party. There are 3 parties in TCI: The Brits, PDM, and PNP. .Who will win it all, I don’t know. What I do know is they are slicing and dicing everyday and forgetting about the actual citizens of the country.

I agree that you drag on, but it cannot be said enough as people get side tracked with nonsense and need to be dragged back to the facts. So thank you for calling attention to this problem.

Who believes that the Brits should be there? Why is this is a political debate. The UN said that Brits have no right to be there. Why are the people debating this? This is crazy.
