Rural voters of Rajasthan, India had voted to elect their Representatives fpr Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti today January 20, 2010.
This was the first faze of Panchayat election in Rajasthan. Poling was completed peacefully by and large except some isolated incidents. A.K. Pandey, Chief election commissioner reported this in a press conference in Jaipur.
In spite of cold people have participated in the election process with enthusiasm. Average poling rate was about sixty percent. Information about exact poling rate has yet to come.
Nomination can be filed for Panch and Sarpanch tomorrow, January 2I, 2010. Second faze of the Panchayat election in Rajasthan will be on January 22.
Counting of votes and result will come out on February 8, 2010 after completion of Panchayat election process.
Both Congress and BJP are fighting tooth and nail to get majority in this election.
Results of this election will bedeclared on February 8, 2010.
