Clifton Washington said that he heard his wife hear cries for help in their neighborhood around 8:00 this morning. Then they called 911 and drove around their neighborhood when they saw a young boy stuck in a chimney. Eight policeman and firefighters tried in vain to rescue the young boy who was stuck in the chimney after his big brother threw his backpack into the chimey and the young boy got stuck trying to retrieve his backpack. When the policeman and firefighters could rescue the boy, emergency workers had to tear down the chimney which was located on the 800 block of Westbrook Drive. It took two hours for the boy to be freed from the chimey and be taken to the hospital to be treated for cuts and bruises. Chief R D Simpson "I've seen a lot of things but this is not one of them."
