Solange Magnano

A former beauty queen from Argentina has died after complications from a cosmetic surgery to her buttocks.

Solange Magnano, 38, died of a pulmonary embolism on Sunday three days following a gluteoplasty in Buenos Aires.

The procedure involves solution injections to harden and contour the posterior.

Magnano won the Argentinean crown in 1994 and is survived by twins. As is customary in South America, Magnano was buried on Monday one day after her death.

A physician that treated her said she arrived at his hospital after the cosmetic procedure had already been done with an acute respiratory problem. She suffered the embolism as her conditioned worsened from the fluid going to her lungs and brain.

Tragic way for a former beauty queen to meet her end.

I am sad about this incident. I susupect that she had multiple procedures beforehand without incident. It's amazing to me how widespread that industry is worldwide. I have met and listened to the rationale for. I have heard the rationale against. Probably the thing that stick out to me is that any time you have a surgery, anything can go wrong. Nothing is PERFECT.

I was sad for the twins. Their mother will never be able to explain. One day she left.

My pleasure. I thought she looked fine before. Maybe I just don't have that eye for beauty.
