Hello nice folks out there. I, like 35 other million people in the US, suffer from bad migraine headaches associated with TMJ. For your information TMJ is the tempero-mandibular joint. It's the joint that hinges the lower jaw bone called the mandible, to the skull. I take a docor prescribed wonder pill called Relpax that works miracles on my bad migraine headaches. My prescription is only for 8 Relpax 40mg pills per month. The problem is I experience many more of these painful headaches each month. From my experience most over-the-counter drugs do not work on my TMJ migraine headaches. However this month having run out of my prescription Relpax I looked in my cuboard and found a bottle of Advil liquid gels. Some months ago I purchased these for my son. I took 1 of these and I still had my headache. So I read on the directions that 2 capsules could be used if pain or fever does not respond to 1. I've been known to have some degree of stomach upset on occasion during a migraine headache. So I make sure I eat something before taking any medication and especially Advil which the bottle says can cause stomach bleeding. It's important to read the information on the bottle as there are warnings listed. Tonight was the 3rd time in the last half of the month I had to take 2 Advil. And so far so good; I haven't experienced any stomach upset. It takes an hour or close to it for the Advil to kick-in. I'm so relieved when my migraine is gone. Just to be on the safe side it is probably good to ask your doctor first before taking Advil. Anyways I hope my article helps those of you who suffer from TMJ migraines. Happy holidays!
