Perino contributes to Fox fantasies

The President

When Dana Perino was serving as Dubya Bush's media spokesperson, it was often apparent that she wasn't too bright.

Either that or she did a wonderful job of toeing the line of what Bush, Dick Cheney and Karl Rove wanted her to say.

Well, Our Dubya has been back in Texas for nearly a year, but Perino is still doing her job for the administration.

On Fox News the other night, she said President Obama was playing politics by refusing to describe the massacre at Fort Hood as a terrorist attack.

"We should call it what it is. We did not have a terrorist attack on our country during President Bush's term. I hope they're not looking at this politically. I do think that we owe it to the American people to call it what it is."

Sean Hannity, who has shown time and again that he might be the most dishonest man in broadcasting, not only didn't contradict Perino, he agreed with her.

Tell me something, though. Exactly who was president when those planes hit the Twin Towers and the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001?

Wasn't it the "My Pet Goat" guy?

Actually, since Perino has shown so little respect for the truth, I think it would be reasonable if she were to make the following accusations as well:

1. There were no problems at all with the economy until after Obama took office.

2. Obama actually told the Fort Hood shooter to kill as many Americans as possible.

3. Obama takes his orders directly from Saddam Hussein (who isn't really dead).

4. Obama not only wasn't born in America, he wasn't even born on planet Earth.

There's more, but that seems like a pretty good start.

Well Mike, one thing we'll know for sure, there will never be a terrorist attack on obamas watch.

Wasn't she the one that got a black eye at the shoe-throwing incident in Iraq? If it is, then she needs to stop throwing punches because she sure doesn't take them well.

actually i don't like George Bush's policies

i guess she was referring to the fact that bush was only in office for 8 months when 9/11 happened and since obama has been in office for 10 months and is still not responsible for anything that happens then, you know, it stands to reason that bush was not responsible.

"Either that or she did a wonderful job of toeing the line of what Bush, Dick CheneyDick Cheney and Karl RoveKarl Rove wanted her to say."

and just how many white house media spokesmen have not/do not toe the line of the administration they are speaking for?

and so now if a person believes that the massacre at fort hood was a terrorist attack then you are "doing" a job for the bush administration and are delusional?

Isn't it funny how a bunch of people that tell you to stop bringing up Bush all the time, bring up Bush all the time and try to lie about him to make him seem better?

Isn't it funny how his defenders jump up as a reflex, ignoring the details, and changing the argument like lecia and pollard up there?

Isn't it funny how when it was their man in the office, spending, dead troops, terrorists or just about anything else that was done wasn't a problem?

Screw the fact that the 9/11 happened after Bush was in office and was given warning of the attacks a month prior to them happening, that wasn't Bush's fault...of course not...no one could have predicted that.

Let's ignore the DC Sniper too while we're at it, huh. And let's forget about the anthrax situation as well.

And Seattle Jewish Center Shooting, let's ignore that too. Where a Muslim guy went on a shooting spree at a Jewish center and they tried him for a hate crime.

And let's ignore Knoxville Church Shooting as well. Ex-soilders goes on a killing spree to get rid of Democrats and liberals. Also charged for a hate crime.

So when Nidal Hasan went on a killing spree, it's terrorism, but when people go on a killing spree while Bush is President it's a hate crime, not terrorism.

The bringing up Bush remark was about Perrino not you.

The defending remark was about you, but the emphasis of you in that remark was on the later part of the statement, the part when I wrote "ignoring the details, and changing the argument like lecia and pollard up there". The defender part was a label being attached to you for trying to change the topic.

The point of the article was Perrino, a Bush administration spokeswoman, straight up lied about something(related to making Obama look bad and at the same time making her President look good). On TV, on a "news" channel...where people are expecting facts.

And the host just agreed, instead of correcting her.

Were any of the facts that CaliMike mentioned wrong?

Did she not lie? Is she politicizing an issue at the same time saying that it is Obama that's politicizing it? Cause that's what it looks like to me, a classic case of conserative projection.

It looks to me that during Bush's term there were the same types of attacks conducted and they tried them as hate crimes and didn't call them an act of terrorism. Yet it's somehow wrong and "political" when Obama's doing it.

If the 9/11 attacks on America were not terrorist attacks what are they?
Could they have been just trick or treat as Dirty Harry may say? 28/11/2009.
