The MILLION CAMEL MARCH (to Doom?)

They are ugly, lumpy and cantankerous. They are smelling up the place and spoiling the water. They are rude and often go on a rampage. They drink too much (or too little)! They're "foreigners" and over-populate the place.

Am I speaking of Biker Gangs? Alien invaders? Albanians?

No...I am speaking of CAMELS...Australian camels to be more precise. Authorities Down Under have decided to "cull" their lumpy, loose-lipped numbers by the 1,000s with some "fly-by" shooting in the very near future. The camels were introduced to Australia in the 1840's for use by explorers crossing the "outback." Over the years they have gone feral and are causing humpback havoc near many communities. Their dead carcasses poison water wells and they destroy crops and indigenous flora. I'm still awaiting a "Camels gone Wild" episode on Fox soon! There are now a Million of these Lumpen dromedarys gallomphin and waltzing with Matilda these days!

So..6.000 are to be gunned down from choppers to thin their bush chompin' numbers to a more manageable level. Are there any good recipes for Camel Stew out there? Is this a good photo op for Sarah Palin? Has PETA been informed?

A camel can go for days without a drink BUT..who wants to be a camel..right? At least not in Australia...
