Android 1.6 & Google Maps Navigation

Well, if you happen to have the Motorola Droid then this post isn't really all that important to you, If you have a T-Mobile G1 or T-Mobile My Touch 3G, then this is going to be of interested to you. According to Google Mobile Blog they have Google Maps Navigation running on Android 1.6. Well for those of you that don't know what Google Maps Navigation is it's an Internet connect GPS system with voice guidance & rerouting via your mobile phone. Google Maps Navigation will have offer new layers feature which allow the user to overlay geographical information on maps. The new feature also allows people to view transit lines & Wikiapedia articles on places. Google Maps Navigation will allow the user to type or voice their search into Google Maps Navigation to map out your route. Google Maps Navigation will bring up a fresh map and show business, traffic information, satellite view & street view along your route.So go to the Android Market and download the new version of Google Maps. According to the Google Mobile Blog in the demo video below the voice command " Navigate to" is not offered in this version of Google Maps Navigation, for more information on Google Maps Navigation go to the Google Mobile Blog.
