New stipulations for Muslims in the United States Military

After the terroristic events that happened on Fort Hood on the 5th of November by Major Nidal Malik Hassan, the Army has announced that there will be different stipulations for Muslim soldiers that are a part of the armed forces.

You see, Major Malik Hassan had avidly voiced his opinion about the war on terror being a war against the Islamic people. As, American troops are beginning to make their way deeper into different Middle Eastern countries it is giving Muslim soldiers the right to choose what they want to do with this proposed war on terror.

All Muslim soldiers are going to be given the option to either retire out of the military if they have enough years in service or get out on ground of an honorable discharge. Major Hassan, kind of raised public awareness when he boisterously was fighting the fact that he was going to be deploying for Afghanistan soon.

Hassan believed basically, that we were forcing him to go overseas and cause harm to his people. The fact is no one was forcing the major to do anything. He took an oath to the United States Military to serve and to ensure the safety of the people of the United States, and that is what our military is doing overseas.

However, now Muslims in the military are actually being closely looked at to ensure that they are not showing the signs that Hassan was showing. The fact that the military is agreeing to let any Muslims who are in the military leave because of the fighting overseas is actually a good thing.

American troops are beginning to span all over the Middle East since the presence of three different terroristic groups are becoming a lot fiercer and posing a threat to the Middle Eastern civilization as a whole.

Muslims are being told that since we are moving more into the Middle East that they do not have to follow and basically be taken out to battle against their own people. It is actually a gracias thing that the military is doing, but many Muslim soldiers are probably going to be disbelief that this gesture is even being granted to them.

However, the humane thing for our country to do is to be able to give people the same liberties that the constitution granted us, which is the freedom of choice. Do you think that any troops in the armed forces will accept this gesture? No one actually knows, but it is an option that they are being given.
