A Tale of Reverse Racism

This story will prove that whoever is in the majority will always attempt to prey upon and take advantage of the minority. This incident occurred in the town of East St. Louis, IL, a city which is about 97% black. A lawsuit has been filed against the city of East St. Louis for racial discrimination. The plantiffs in the lawsuit, Wyatt Frazer and Della Murphy, were members of the city's Police, Fire, and Civil Board in 2007. At that time, the town was looking for a new police chief. The plantiffs recommended to the Mayor Alvin Parks a qualified person named Ronald Grimming. Grimming had been the former deputy superintendent for the Illinois State Police and the former director of the Florida Highway Patrol. These two positions proved that he was more than qualified for the job. Mayor Parks' response to their recommendation: "...the city wasn't ready to hire a white police chief." and the firing of Frazer and Murphy off of the city board. So, of course, they hired a black person who is chief now. This lawsuit should be a slam dunk case which proves that racism is wrong no matter what race is attempting to implement it.

nice report.
i hate when people use the term "reverse racism" instead of just plain racism. the term, to me, seems to be racist itself. racism is prejudice against someone for their race- and is not only to be used when black people are the ones being discriminated against.
