Berlin Wall: Twenty Years Later
November 9 marks the twentieth anniversary of the demolition of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany. It was an historic event to say the least and many of us remember the famous words of President Ronald Reagan who, in 1987, implored Soviet president Gorbachev to use his influence to make this happen, saying, "Tear down this wall."
I have noticed that my postings are read in Germany and I hope that this one, in particular, will be read by many in that country. I ask anybody who is living in Germany and experienced that historic event to respond to this post. I would love to get firsthand accounts of that moment.
