Changes to the New York Yankees?

The New York Yankees won the Major League Baseball championship just a few days ago, but according to manager Joe Girardi, owner George Steinbrenner is already focusing on a "repeat performance." At the team's victory parade on Friday, Girardi said that "The Boss" told him that training camp begins in "96 days" and to start preparing for next season.

With that in mind, who from this year's team will not be a part of the 2010 New York Yankees? Will Andy Petitte remain a starting pitcher? Will Jorge Posada be the first string catcher? Will Nick Swisher remain the starting right fielder? Will free agents Johnny Damon and Hideki Matsui re-sign with the team?

Stay tuned.

If they already won, why bother trying to change the team. The team is already made of champions, and changing the team can have big consequences.

Why would they mess with the roster? It's a championship team! The players have great chemistry and a great rhythm going, and one would think that management would want it to carry over into the next season. If they're winning, leave it as is.

The question is which players of the New York Yankees will buy into the system that made them championships this season. United we stand.

I think that the Yanks will look for another catcher because of the whole AJ Burnett fiasco.
