Growing Old Gracefully (in the Deep South)-Introduction
I was born and raised in the Great State of California, which I NEVER remotely considered leaving until just two years ago when health reasons sent me packing off to Alabama, the Last Place I thought anyone in their right mind would want to move to. Move very far away from, not to. Henceforth, I will be writing articles and news shorts about my very deep-fried, twangy accented, Southern Neighbors, as the stories they tell and other things they say and do are good for at least three severe laughing bouts per day. I hope everyone enjoys my stories of life in a small (only 14K residents in the entire County), rural, very conservative part of the country. Sincerely, Baarbi
