Smog: itchy eyes and breathing problems in Punjab and neighboring ...

Thick smog has been observed over the Punjab,Haryana and Dehli its suburbs since last couple of days till sunday morning.
A haze has been hanging over area, right through the day, making even the afternoon look like a bleary morning. People are complaining of burning sensation in the eyes, breathing problems and nausea.

Doctors and experts are dealing with hundreds of worried calls asking if this is a fallout of the Jaipur oil depot fire and paddy wastage buring in Punjab and Haryana..

The weathermen say high levels of humidity, which is about 92%, clubbed with low wind conditions have created the condition. Also there are high clouds due to approaching western disturbance.

"Western disturbance is approaching India and it will hit J&K and Uttrakhand on November 8 & 9 when there will be rain also. Moisture in air in Punjab,Haryana and Delhi has increased and that's why this smog has happened. It has no connection with Jaipur fire," said Department official.
