Do They Know it's Christmas

In 1984 a who's who of musicians gathered together to sing a holiday song penned by Bob GeldofBob Geldof and Midge Ure. Money raised from the song would go to easing the famine in Ethiopia. Calling themselves Band Aid,"Do They Know it's Christmas" became a smash hit going gold in the United States and platinum in the United Kingdom.

Twenty-five years later another group of musicians are planning to re-record the song; this time donating the proceeds to lesser known charities like Justice for the Missing.

FU frontman Pink Eyes said that they are waiting on word from Feist, Jarvis Cocker and MIA.

F...... Up won the Polaris Prize and is using the $20,000 they received to get the project going.
