Hyderabad, Nov 7 Karnataka tourism minister G. Janardhana Reddy, leader of the dissident group, demanding the removal of the Chief Minister Mr. B S Yeddyurappa has said that the crisis in the state BJP was not over and rubbished reports that a compromise was blown out.
Talking to newsmen here on Saturday after overnight talks with the dissident MLAs, he maintained that the party leaders had not proposed any compromise formula to his group. He said he was hoping that a right decision would be taken in two days.
Contrary to the statement of Mr. Janardhana Reddy, the Chief Minister told the media in New Delhi that the problem has been resolved.
Reddy flew to Bangalore after talking to the media, to meet his elder brothers revenue minister G. Karunakara Reddy and MLA G. Somashekara Reddy.
Yeddyurappa told reporters at New Delhi, before leaving to pray at Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu and Kashmir that he was thankful to the party leadership for reposing faith in him.. “I will take everyone into confidence", he added.
According to reports, the compromise formula proposed by the BJP High Command includes dropping some ministers close to Yeddyurappa, making assembly speaker Jagadish Shettar a minister, setting up a coordination committee to oversee functioning of the government, final say for the Reddy brothers in posting officials in their home district Bellary and transfer of chief minister's principal secretary V.P. Baligar. Implementing the formula, Yeddyurappa on Friday shunted out Baligar as principal secretary of the industries and commerce department. He has also agreed to drop the lone woman minister Shobha Karandlaje, who holds the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj portfolio.
