As we approach the half way point in the 2009-2010 NFL season, there are few teams that we can call great. The two main threats in the NFC would be the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings. They both have extremely powerful offenses boasting some of thee best players in the league. The Vikings defense gets the edge though, they have 3 Pro Bowl defensive lineman and their linebacking core is top 5 in the league. Drew Brees leads the high powered Saints and their multiple threats at receiver and running back such as marques colston, jeremy shockey, and Reggie bush. The AFC teams that have really shown their dominance this season are the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts. Both teams are showing their dominance on the defensive end of the ball which is a rare feat for both of these squads. The Cinderella team of the year in the Denver Broncos has good balance on both sides of the field, considering they lost Jay Cutler to Chicago nobody knew what Kyle Orion would do along with rookie running back knowshon Moreno have both proved they belong. Peyton Manning has always been a great quarterback but with a new head coach and loosing HOF receiver Marvin Harrison who knew how this team would react. They didn't have their best defensive player in Bob Sanders for the first 7 games and this defense has shown how it can force teams to make mistakes. We still have another half of the season to go and who knows what team will be on top come February.
