Warning to working parents
It is not known how deep the implications are but, reports suggest that it is a huge ring of exploitation of babes-in-arms that has been operating unhindered in cities like Bangalore where most of the parents are of the working types. The babies are left in the care of nannies who rent out the babies to others for begging throughout the day. Sedatives are administered to the babies and, at the end of the day, the baby is brought home and put back in its cradle – its parents never know what happened in the course of the day. The incident has been revealed when one mother returned home early one day and did not find her little baby at home. When questioned, the nanny blurted out the complete story. She had been employed through a recruitment agency.
