Pakistan National Assembly approved a bill on 4th of November for higher punishment of crimes like sexual abuse and workplace harassment to women.National Assembly approved bill with high consent of both opposition and ruling party members on subject of the bill.Bill was produced for amendments in Pakistan Penal Code(PPC) and criminal Law.This bill will expand the definition of crime like sexual harrassment and others against women form make prosecution easy.Punishment decided in bill is up to 3years and fine upto Rs.500000/-.Bill is specially focusing to make public and workplace environment more safe for women.Pakistan Penal Code(PPC) has already many clause for punishment of crimes against women.Step of amendment taken by National Assembly will improve the situation of women rights in county.After approval from Senate of Pakistan,which is sure,Bill will become law.
