Day not far when Kashmir will be free: Nawaz

November 06, 2009

GILGIT (Agencies) – PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif Thursday said he calls spade a spade without mincing the matter to deceive others.
Addressing a public gathering in Ghanchay area of Gilgit-Baltistan, Nawaz Sharif said the day is not far when Kashmir will be free. Nawaz urged the people to make success possible for ‘Lion’- his party’s symbol for elections.
The PML-N chief vowed that he would work days in days out to resolve their problems, adding he would stress upon the Federal Government to provide resources for Gilgit-Baltistan.
On this occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly and central PML-N leader Ch Nisar Ali Khan and Sardar Mehtab Abbasi were present.
Earlier, a warm reception was accorded to PML-N leaders on their arrival here.
Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain Thursday said the flag of the party is in the air from Karachi to Gilgit-Baltistan.
Addressing an election rally in Skardu, Altaf said in his telephonic address that Muttahida is the only party, which is opposed to the current political culture, feudal and capitalistic system prevalent in the country.
He urged the youth and the elderly of Gilgit-Baltistan to eagerly take part in the elections. He said the MQM’s public gathering is the largest in the history of Skardu, adding the MQM message is the message of truth and veracity and this voice is reaching the high and beautiful valleys.
Altaf maintained that none from Altaf’s nieces and nephews reached the assemblies; instead, they are the public representatives elected on merit who made it to the assemblies.
