I've decided that we're gonna join in on this revamped Vampire culture sweeping the nation, and preview a movie that deals with Vampires in somewhat of a new angle. The movie we are set to present is called Daybreakers, and it stars Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, and Isabel Lucas.
A plague has transformed mostly every human into vampires and with the blood supply slowly decreasing the new race of vampires are trying to figure out how they are going to survive. With fewer humans to provide blood, the vampires seek to farm the remaining humans in order to find a way to continue their existence. A secret team of vampires discover a way that can possibly put this plan into fruition and maintain the new dominant vampire race, while at the same time, a group of surviving humans wish to continue to fight and try to re-establish mankind.

Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a vampire researcher who tries to save humanity from extinction. Dafoe plays Elvis, a former vampire who has been cured and is now leading the human resistance against the vampire race. Lucas(who ironically played a cyborg in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen) plays Alison Bromley who is technically the last surviving member of the human race.

This film is written and directed by Peter and Michael Spierig, the film was actually created way back in 2007, and it will see the light of day(little inside joke there) next year January 8, 2010.
