Chemicals In Cigarettes

As we all know already, cigarettes are padded by many harmful ingredients such as the obvious, nicotine. However, if you notice, there's a new ingredient in all cigarettes. This chemical is being added to cigarettes to keep it from burning, unattended. Unless you are actively smoking, the cigarette is designed to go out after so long. This HAS to be because of a new chemical reaction and I am hearing a lot about how this chemical isn't fully tested and could be straight poison. We all know that the tobacco industry is out to kill us all and line their pockets while doing it, but are they so powerful that they can blatantly wipe us out and still go un-noticed? Even if the purpose is sincere and they're just interested in keeping people's houses from burning down because people keep falling asleep with lit cigarettes; "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions"
