She was like any other modern day woman – her secret desire was to have a perfect body that would attract men towards her. The 26-year old had a breast augmentation surgery done in 2001 and went in for liposuction in 2007 to reduce the fat from her thighs and buttocks. Unfortunately, she died after the liposuction session. The doctor who performed the surgery on her on 19/1/2007 told the inquest that she was a normal healthy woman and that the chance of death due to liposuction was 1 in 5000. The woman began bleeding from the cuts of the liposuction surgery at home and finally collapsed. This raises the question – should we go in at all for cosmetic surgeries? Why not learn to be happy and contented with what God has gen us? Cases of models suffering from Anorexia is quite common – they all want to display their slim figures and go on diets to attain the most perfect body – but, when they fall sick, their ambitions go up in smoke.
