Asked PLN Electricity Tariff Package Remove Non-Government

Jakarta, 5 Nov 2009 - PT PLN (Persero) is asked to immediately revoke the application of Burning and Shining products which apply state-owned power plant since 2005. Implementations of these two types of tariffs are considered contrary to article 35 of the Electricity Act No. 30 of 2009.

“We asked PLN to review the cancellation of tariffs for electricity according to the new law. So it should be immediately revoked,” said Director General of Electricity and Energy Utilization (LPE), J Purwono at the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta, Thursday ( 5/11/2009).
