Astro-physicist Dr. Carl Sagan was the creator of the "Cosmos" series that aired on PBS in 1980. Dr. Sagan died from bone marrow cancer after a bone marrow transplant failed in 1996 at the age of 62.
On November 9 Dr. Sagan would have been 75 and to commemorate the date Third Man Records is releasing "A Glorious Dawn" - a single that is comprised of manipulations of Sagan's voice using snippets from the "Cosmos" series. Physicist Dr. Stephen Hawking also appears on the single.
Composer John Boswell altered the voices and mixed the pieces to create "A Glorious Dawn".
