Indonesian Police chief of detectives Com r. Gen. Susno Duadji and Deputy Attorney General Ritonga were resign
Indonesian Attorney General Minister Hendarman Supanji confirm today, Thursday, November 5, 2009 that his deputy attorney general Abdul Hakim Ritonga was resign from his post. ''He told me he will resign to his post this morning, because he do not want his Ministry get trouble when he was as a suspect to do a wrong doing by accepting some money from Anggodo,'' Hendarman said, today, before he attending the President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono cabinet meeting.
Hendarman said, Ritonga will send a resign letters this morning, and I will process the resign and will get another new deputy as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, another sources said that, the Indonesian Police chief of detectives Comr. Gen. Susno Duadji was also resign from his post today. Ritonga and Susno Duadji, both being mentioned in the wiretapped recordings played at the Constitutional Court on Tuesday, which revealed an alleged plot to fabricate evidence to implicate two leaders of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Bibit Samad Rianto and Chandra Hamzah, in criminal cases.
The recordings, which among others mentioned President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and high-ranking officials at the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) revealed that Anggodo, who was detained for questioning since Tuesday evening at the police headquarters in Jakarta, allegedly masterminded the plot to frame the KPK leaders.
Jenderal (Pol) Bambang Hendarso Danuri said today that Anggodo was in fact under police protection as he was a witness, after filing a report with police about the case against the KPK. ''He still in the Police headquarter until today,'' he said.
