A report from WTHR yesterday stated that a new study reports that antioxidants could be the answer to fighting the H1N1 flu. Scientists injected sick cells with antioxidants and noticed it counteracted the bad effects of the flu protein. Some foods that are high in antioxidants are nuts, leafy green veggies, peppers, berries, cinnamon, and oregano. Doctors still recommend flu vaccinations however foods rich in antioxidants can be a powerhouse and boost your immune system which can help fight the flu.
