The FBI has busted the plans of the LeT to attack the National Defence College in New Delhi. From reports, it appears that last month the FBI had taken into custody two persons David Coleman Headley and Tahawwur Hussain Rana after listening to a conversation in which terror attacks on several installations were discussed. While interrogating Headley and Rana, their plans to attack the NDC in New Delhi emerged. Rana is a Pakistan-born Canadian citizen residing in Chicago. The FBI had stumbled upon a conversation in which the duo had discussed at length the various targets – in fact, there was a mention of five targets. One of these was the facilities of a Danish newspaper that had published a cartoon of Prophet Mohammad and the other was the NDC, New Delhi. However, the LeT had assigned a higher priority to the NDC – hence, the actions by the FBI seemed to have saved New Delhi from another Mumbai 26/11.
