Advanced battery electric vehicles coming to Arizona in 2010

Arizona is one of a few cities that will get the new all electric advanced battery Nissan LEAF. It can go 100 miles on a charge, has a top speed of 80 mph and cost about the same as a normal sedan. The best part is it costs 4 times less to operate than a gas or diesel vehicle. It doesn't use any imported oil or make any pollution.

This vehicle can also increase the value of your american made electricity by 4 times or more. You put 10 killowatts of electric, about 80 cents at 8 cents a KWh and it goes as far as a gallon of oil products (gas 2.50 a gallon) Nov 2009 in AZ. If you charge on Time Of Day off peak electric it's 1/2 of that cost. As gas or diesel goes up it pays off even faster.

If you have a home grid tied solar system or wind it also pays off much fatser with a plugin vehicle. You also save on your home energy costs.
