HOLLYWOOD, California - Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will host the 82nd annual Academy Awards after Hugh Jackman decided not to return next year.

Martin, who hosted the 73rd and 75th Oscar ceremony said in a statement, "I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin."

Baldwin said in his own statement, "I don't play the banjo, but I am thrilled to be hosting the Oscars, it's the opportunity of a lifetime."

The two actors are appearing together in December with Meryl Streep in a comedy called, "It's Complicated."
