Conflicting Views

While I was driving through town I spotted a car plastered with bumper stickers. On one of the bumper stickers it had "Coexist" and on another it said "Religion bombs buildings." What does this person believe? If you're going to put bumper stickers on your car make sure you don't make yourself look ignorant in the process. I'm all for Coexisting and bashing religion doesn't fit that discription.

Doesn't seem to make sense to make a pitch to "coexist" while dissing religion. To his/her credit, they didn't pick on one particular religion.

Sad fact is, he's correct. People have been doing many evil things in the name of Religion for centuries. Good thing Christianity isn't about religion - it's about a relationship with God and those who DO evil in His Name are ONLY doing it in the name of Religion, for God would not lead us to do so.

Religion means "a return to bondage." Jesus said He came to set us FREE! We simply cannot reconcile "religion" through His (after the crucifixion) and the apostle Paul's teachings.

So, extend the guy a li;l grace. They're just bumper stickers, after all. Peace, in Jesus' Name!
