Swine flu epidemic,500 ANA soldiers infected

KABUL: Epidemic of Swine flu broke in Afghanistan as dozens of citizens and five-hundreds Afghan National Army(ANA) soldiers have been infected by (H1N1) virus, sources in Afghan health ministry said. The sources said that in the last two days five hundreds ANA personnel and dozens of citizens had been found H1N1 positive,adding the virus spread out from the workers who were had employees with Americans and Europeans' firms at Kabul. Later, on the advice of health ministry Afghan government closed down government and public education institutions for twenty-one day. Meanwhile,The NGOs and other civil sectors shut downs schools,collages and university.Swiss base non-profitable organisation Terre dess hommes(TDH) closed non-formal educational centres,where four hundreds child labourers studding, at Torkham border.People were seen confined at homes not visiting public places.Those had to come out of there homes for duties and business centres put covered their faces with masks to protect them selves from the lethal disease.It was also learnt that millions H1N1 vaccines have been imported on the vaccinate citizens on emergency bases.Health workers asked the people by announcements to take pre-cautionary measures. When this scribe asked Pakistani border officials at Torkham border about possible H1N1 virus coming from Afghanistan said that had not yet taken any protective measure,however, they said that they would demand screening equipments to install for blood checking of the people crossing the border.
