Coming from a mother's heart

We know our young men and women are over there

But in our arms we want them here

Coming from a mother's heart

We never wanted this to start

They are fighting for freedom beyond our borders

Being brave and following their orders

Coming from a mother's heart

Things that go through our minds from the start

Every day praying for no heart breaking words

Saying let those tanks roar and planes fly like valiant birds

They are in our minds every minute of every day

We want to say we are behind you in every way

Trying to think of ways to keep in touch

Sending out packages and prays oh so much

Coming from a mother's heart

Having so much worry and fear

Just the thought of losing someone dear

But we can't walk around feeling all down

We have to put pride in our heart and look up from the ground

Walk tall and put a smile on our face

And say God Bless every living race

Coming from a mother's heart

Please make this war end fast

And let the peace all over forever last
