Amid tight security on the entry and exit gates of all educational institutions across the province particularly in frontier metropolitan, schools and colleges were once again reopened after the closure of two weeks following the wave of terrorism and threats of these institutions.
The North-west frontier government after a thorough consultation with teachers and parents of students decided to reopened their schools after providing the assurance to have check on students, parents and guests while entering the schools and colleges.
The attendance in a number of schools in Peshawar was thin on the first day and students were felling fear while going for study and their parents have also some reservations on insecurity.
Student while talking to this scribe said that, their parents advice them to come directly home after schools closing time and forbid them not to go to rush places as the main target of terrorist is public places.
The provincial government directed schools’ principals not to have assembly in open ground, no parking in front of schools gate, guest should not be allowed inside schools and parents should be allowed inside after their identification.
It is pertinent to mention here that the government had closed all the educational institution across the province after two suicide attacks in the International Islamic University Islamabad on 20th October that killed eight students and injuring as many.
