Falcon Waterfree Urinals is a company former Vice President and environment cheerleader Al GoreAl Gore has invested in. Gore, along with others in his partners in the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, has invested heavily in smart grid technology, electric car companies, solar cells and many other environmentally friendly energy and technology business ventures.
One of the environmentally friendly business ideas is the Falcon Waterfree Urinals. As one of my friend said after I told her about the company, “how strange and gross”.
Yes, how strange.
The urinals use a specially designed cartridge and don’t use a water flush mechanism; thereby saving on water, spillage and overflowing, maintenance/repairing of flush and cause a noticeably less odor and spread less germs and bacteria.
The working of the urinals is explained through a youtube video posted on their website.
They claim to have installed urinals in Heathrow International Airport and the Taj Mahal.
Al Gore, a man whose 30 years of environmentalism has lead him to the White House, to the Nobel Peace Prize, to investing in electric cars and smart grids, and most importantly…waterless urinals.
How strange and gross.
But cool too.
Another cool thing he’s done is written a book titled “Our Choice”, which will be printed with a 100% recycled paper.
Al Gore is going to be proof there are ways of becoming ultra rich from investing in environmentally friendly technologies and business ventures. What else do you expect from the man that brought the public the internet.
