Rihanna's ABC INTERVIEW is NOT what you think it is

ABC is plugging its exclusive sitdown with Rihanna as her first in-depth account of February’s beating at the hands of then-boyfriend Chris Brown—but the Diane Sawyer interview is apparently a bust. A source tells Media Take Out that Rihanna, 21, says virtually nothing about the incident beyond the teaser ABC has online: “This happened to me. … It can happen to anyone.” This is as far as Rihanna goes, Media Take Out’s source says: “[I want] to stand up for girls in this situation and … [I’m] embarrassed and disappointed about the officers leaking the picture out to the public.” Portions of the interview will air Thursday and Friday on Good Morning America and Friday night on 20/20.

it will never end-people live for that kind of stuff. If she was stupid enough to take him back that's her issue. We dont need to hear more about it. She is just capitalizing on it now.

This controversy has gone a long way. This mostly affects the victim.

I like that lacy bra she's wearing..LOL...yeeeaah. I think Rihanna doesn't want to talk about it. It's just one of those things. She'd rather just forget about it because it's too painful to think about. I know what being a victim of a crime is all about. I've been there. You dwell in denial for a season and then it hits you later on, down the road. She says "this happened to me, it can happen to anyone," which is true. But I don't think she's ready to really expose herself yet and let the world see her vulnerability. She's still scared, I think, of how people are going to react and what her fans will say. She wants to still "show the world that she's strong." That's what her up-coming album cover is all about. I think it's good to be strong but it's also good to show how human you are, too.

Bad things happen to famous people too. Just because you've "made it to the big time" and you've got record sales going through the roof doesn't make you IMMUNE to violence and other crazy stuff. Just look at singer Jennifer Hudson, for instance. She lost her mom and her nephew last year. You think THAT was EASY for her? heck no but she got through it.

Rihanna will come around in due time. Everyone heals at a different pace. I don't know whose idea it was to do an intervew but I feel Rihanna simply isn't quite ready yet.

It's high time people got over this whole thing. He beat her up, terrible thing, no man should hit a woman. He's learn, she learned, drop it. Neither one of them wants this to drag on, most likely just want to move on with their careers and lives.

i am sure they really want to forget it now..

well the media has something to linger on and it will because they need the topic to run their shows and give them something to talk about as i am sure they do not care about who gets affected in this process!

I see both sides to this. One one hand I understand that it is something extremely serious and shouldn't go unnoticed because it was such a brutal crime. However....on the other hand, I agree with the previous poster that this has been going on for farrrrr to long. What about all of the other thousands of abuse victims in America everyday? No one gives those people this kind of attention. It shouldn't be any bigger of an issue just because she makes millions :/

this stuff is not new. it is all a part of the media, no matter who the celebrity is. they just want to talk about it until the tv set blows up. they still talk about dead celebrities after they have died. i guess there is nothing more exciting except talking about the same topic eternally.
Posted By cloud9devine cloud9devine | 20 days ago
That sure' nuff is TRUE, fifileigh.. yep, yep.. it's the media's JOB to keep talking about celebreties.. it's what gets them PAID, baby!
Reply By fifileigh fifileigh | 20 days ago
they talk about lots of crap that most people don't care to listen to. that is why most people rarely watch tv. they are sick of hearing the same crap over and over.
Posted By cloud9devine cloud9devine | 20 days ago
hey fifileigh, yeah, people 'may be sick of watching TV' but guess what?? They got what's on TV on the Internet now, too! There IS NO ESCAPE!!
Reply By fifileigh fifileigh | 20 days ago
well, i dont see that stuff on the internet because i dont look for it. so who cares. i am busy with other stuff. maybe the crap like you with no life look for that stuff. so, just enjoy it and move on, rather continuing to drool your mouth filled with garbage.
