An Israeli medical worker holds a vial containing a vaccine for H1N1 ...

It has been blown all over the news about the swine flu. Several people very ill and some have past, unfortunately. However, I am happy to report that the H1N1 Vaccinations are in Page County, Va.

Several weeks ago children in Page Co. came home with information on the newest vaccination available. Even with the original flu shots there will still be a need for the H1N1.

The high demand and urgency has put many in a rush. Now there is some relief. The schools will have Lord Fairfax at each school to administer the vaccination. They will be starting at 8:00am on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Parents are allowed to be there.

There are two forms of the vaccine. One is a nasal spray, the other is shot . Although this is new, they are advising that children under the age of 10 have a second shot a few weeks later.

In hopes that you did fill out the forms and sent them back to the school. Doctors have stated that the swine flu is not as bad as it has been advertised. It is more of a scare because it is new and unexpected. This combination of new and catching off guard equals chaos.

There is still chance of swine flu being fatal to those with extremely low immune systems, the shot is worth the cause. If you avoid this, then you avoid spreading to the vulnerable.
