First, I live in Arkansas, which gives me the right to say whatever I want about this particular redneck (haha). Second, Mr. Burnett should have been pulled out after his first mistake in the first inning. He doesn't control his pitches consistently. He's not a reliable pitcher. I don't know why he's on the greatest AL team. Lastly, Girardi should have realized this problem during the regular season when it was obvious Burnett had control issues. In Game 2, he really was great. I was very impressed, but I expected this turnout. It's rare in a World Series for a pitcher to be pulled out in the third inning. Another indication of Burnett's incapability to start. He just flinches too easily. The hit on Victorino's hand rattled Burnett too badly, even though it wasn't his fault. Being southern, Burnett felt bad... he probably said "bless your heart." HAHAHA. Anyway, I hope that Girardi and the pitching coach get together after this game to discuss the future of Burnett with the Yankees. I'm hoping for a change next season. Maybe I won't be disappointed. And I'm sure I'm not the only Yankee fan hoping for the same thing.
