The Colts have taken care of the league's lesser teams, pushing their record to 6-0 against teams with a combined 11-26. The past two weeks Indianapolis went on the road and dominated the Titans and Rams, who are a combined 0-13.

Coach Jim Caldwell has done an excellent job of keeping his team focused on weekly preparation, regardless the opponent. That won't change.

The 49ers have the wherewithal to challenge a defense that has played at a high level in five of six games. When healthy, running back Frank GoreFrank Gore is a game-breaker. He's the type of player who capitalizes on sloppy tackling.

The 49ers' defense must be on top of its game against the Peyton ManningPeyton Manning-led offense. It must not allow itself to be fooled by Manning's pre-snap gyrations and adjustments. It's an act most of their defensive players haven't seen up close. Manning is a master at getting a defense to tip its hand prior to the snap, and adjusting accordingly.
