Government girls high school dynamited in Bara.

Unknown militants annihilated government girls high school at Kareegar Ghari Bara here on Sunday. Four persons inside the school have been reported injured. The girls high school was blown up with explosive material, local sources told.

This is probably the first government school that has been blown up with explosive material in Bara sub-division of Khyber Agency. As long as the banned Lashker-e-Islam was dominant in this tehsil of Khyber Agency, which is under the very nose of Peshawar in the southwest, the government installations were safe and functional, local sources told.

But after the military operation against this outfit, the situation has gone worse, sources added. The long curfew imposition in Bara has also caused much harm to every segment of society especially business community. The military operation and the search operation are steadily in progress in Bara, but despite that peace and writ have not been restored in this troubled belt of FATA, the local people said.
