A good friend of mine was riding home on his bike Friday Night. All of a sudden he was surrounded by 3 police cars. When the police approached him, he asked what was going on. They told him the 7-eleven across the street had just been robbed and he "fit the description" of the robber. He told me while they were holding him, first they never took him into 7-11 to verify with the clerk that he was the man who robbed him. First he had NO money on him, nor anything else but his wallet. So they made him empty his pockets, if he had just robbed the the 7-eleven across the street why wasn't anything that came out of the store in his pockets. They proceeded to take him down to the police station. They held him for 5 hours without any true cause. They finally let him go and he told me only one of the policemen actually apologized for the mistaken identity. First he is black and second he must have been at the right place at the wrong time. Funny how this story didn't make the evening news.
