Dear Sir/Madam etc, I am inquiring about my pension and wondering

Why so much time is taking place and why everytime I ring your office

I’m told different stories? The first time I called was on July nine,

the interviewer I spoke to told me there was a computer breakdown

and she couldn’t tell me nothing, she advised me to ring in another

week before I could be told anything at all. I called back seven days

later and this time I spoke to a male person, he told me everything was

in order and my first cheque was sent to the Philippines to me the

previous week, it was for four weeks up to July eleven. I believed him

and didn’t bother to make further contact but when the cheque hadn’t

arrived for two weeks I rang again. A different person I spoke to

told me that the above statement wasn’t true because there is some

kind of a problem there, he said that he thought my pension was cancelled

but wasn’t sure. He asked if he could contact me in any way by phone?

I gave him the phone number of PLDT, Philippine Long Distance Telephone

Company in Ubay, Bohol. Ph 038/198853134 and they would forward the

Phonogram to me at the house of my father and mother in-law. I never

received any message from that person on that day or ever. I phoned

again last Thursday week and this time I spoke to a female interviewer

who transferred my call to the files downstairs. The female I spoke to

told me that somebody at Stones Corner in Brisbane cancelled my pension

because they didn’t think I had any right to receive it overseas. My

pension is Invalid, granted in nineteen seventy, it is portable and paid

to me for life. I passed the portability test as your files will show

like I did when I came to the Philippines to get married in nineteen

ninety three. Why am I being victimized by various Centrelink staff I do

not know, they have no right to cancel my pension and I have a letter

dated thirteen June nineteen ninety six from Stones Corner telling me,

you can keep getting your pension while you are overseas. I was given a

one way Migrant ticket to the Philippines which is on my pension file,

enclosed is the duplicate of the ticket, also the Pension Portability

etermination. I need cash, without money I cannot eat or buy the medicines

for epilepsy when I need them. I have a wife and two daughters to support.

I’m living with my parents in-law and we owe money to people for food and

Other things, my bags are still in Philippine Airlines Cloak room in

Manila and without money I can’t claim them. My hands are tied in other

words. I rang your office today and was transferred to the files again,

I was told that the woman I spoke to last Thursday week is off sick, at

that time I was told by her after confirming the address of postage not

to worry because she would see that payments for two months are sent to

me on Monday of last week but up to now I have not received anything at

all. I do not know what is going on but I implore you to please do

something about it, I need money fast.
