It looks like a nice place to swim and relax in for a time, for anyone who
has time to kill, but for me, I'm always busy with my computer and can't afford holidays but the time will eventually come. 2/11/2009.

I don't feel like I'm the wealthiest one on earth but very poor. The money
from the first installment of my father's Last Will and Testament has run
out and I'm falling back on my pension now for another year before the Public Trustee sends me another similar amount. Lot of projects have been
done and completed in the house but now we only have enough to finish the
tiling and cementing of all the floors in the house properly before the
November pension arrives next week. The eldest daughter is in Singapore on
an employment visa, her sister finished her board exams and I'm sorry to say that the final result was that she failed her board registration. She is feeling very ashamed about it and is living back with us. The poor girl cried her heart out when she saw the results on the internet. She is now trying to find a job but nobody will employ her at this time. She tried searching but the only offer she received was from a call centre, she refused to go for any interview and said, to hell with it, she wants engineering or nothing. The house can be locked up but it's not secure because there are no ceilings and going on a holiday, bad types can climb over the wall and rob me. 3/11/2009.

    My dear friend mllovric,

I read your family matters, and feel very frustration.
The opposite thing happens in India.
After passing graduation or then post gratuation from any Engineering, you could not get the job of $ 200/month without paying curruption of $ 5000 to employer or middlemen.

On the other side ,to complete pass out any Engineering ,you have to pay fees of $ 2000.

In india there are very bad days for educated people.
    Nothing happens without curruption.

Despite passing Textile Engineering and then Mechanical Engineering,I am against curruption, that is why I am in private job not in Government.
I hope, there around you,the situation will be some what better than Indians.
What will be tomorrow for me and my family I don't know.
    Have a good day.
    Yours.

Rhanks Aarana, there are laws in the Philippines against child abuse, the
parents are not allowed to force their children into employment as minors
because the parents can be jailed for it. Although Gemelyn has graduated
from College last year in Computer and Electronics Engineering, it's only
because I sponsored her studies after she lost her scholarship because it
was too hard to do. She wasn't the only one because a number of others in
her class lost theirs, not because they haven't studied properly but they
needed extra time. Lot of students are from poor families who couldn't pay 10,000 pesos per months from the loss of their Scholarships October
2007 to the graduation in March 2008. I was able to do that and she did
graduate but then she wanted to go for registration to get her license
as an engineer. Corruption in the education wanted 100 thousand pesos, I said definately not. The students that couldn't pay ten thousand per
month had to drop out of college altogether. Then the government brought in a new law allowing the graduates to go for board exams where
they had to pay the basic expenses but big money wasn't to be charged because it was illegal. If students were registered by the board they had to find a job first and pay it off in installments, otherwise there
is no payment. Instead of taking a year or two as it used to do, board exams now take only six months. There is another law in this country preventing companies from asking a fee of new graduates seeking employment, police would get in and arrest the employer who would go to
jail as a criminal. Illegal recruitment it is called. Three men and a woman were arrested in Manila few months ago recruiting people by asking hu8ge sums of money, they were jailed and all the money had been
confiscated. Few years ago, when I hyad a cell phone, I was listening to the news and a local drainage company was advertising for employees
and asking for 20,000 pesos of the prospective employees before they can get the job, it was on the news. I was walking later past the local
council office and I went and spoke to the council member. He said it is illegal, if you can give us the name of the company we will close it
down. I couldn't think of it at first but got his cell phone number aand a few minutes later I thought of it and called him back. I said, the name of the company is DRANEX downtown. Thank you he said and they
closed them down for illegal recruitment. There is no such company as
DRANEX in the Philippines, it was an illegal operation that was set up
    by an ARAB. 4/11/2009.
