Hola! That's cool that you are bilingual. The governor's election on Tuesday in New Jersey will be very interesting because of the independent vote is throwing the polls off. Virginia is for sure going to the Republican candidate.

This is the race that I am watching more closely. I live NJ so I would like nothing better than to see Christie win. I have been through 9 years of Corzine already and he has left NJ in the worst economic shape as long as I could remember.
He has not come through on his promise to lower property taxes by as much as 40%. The jobless rate is almost 10 percent and he is suffocating small business with all of his tax increases. This guy is another Goldman Sachs alumni that is just using his millions to buy an election. He is out of touch with the people and we are tired of the Tax & Spend shpiel already.

The third party candidate offers more of the same as Corzine, more taxes. I don't think he will be a factor on election night. People know that if he can't get elected, they will not vote for him. Barack Obama is set to visit NJ this Sunday to try and rally Corzine's troops so we'll see.

The writing is already on the wall in Virginia. Gov. Caine decided not to run again because he knew that he was going to lose.

A,

In Virginia Bob McConnell is running away with the race so this will be a tough pill to swallow for Democrats one year removed from having helped elect Obama to the White House.

Another interesting race to watch is the NY 23 Congressional District race. The Candidate that Sarah Palin threw her support behhind is ahead in the polls. Before her endorsement, Doug Hoffman, was trailing and in third place behind the Democrat and Republican Dede Scozzafava. In a weeks time, Scozzafava has dropped out and Hoffman has risen in the polls.

If by some chance there is a sweep of these three races, it will be a big referendum on the Obama administration no way to spin it.

My best guess, I think Corzine may squeak by in NJ, but the other 2 races should go the other way.

insulin,

Thanks for checking in. The report was doen in Spanish for the very same reason you mentioned. I have received some e-mails asking if I could write something in Spanish. I chose to report on a local race. It basically outlines the races in NJ & VA and why I think each candidate will win.
