In May and August 2009, 3 US citizens preferred to stay with an authentic Tunisian family, during their solitary trip to Tunisia, rather than stay in the usual, impersonal and stale hotel!
Tunishomestay, a family-run type of guesthouse, consecutively hosted 3 american guests in its villa in Tunis and at a secondary holiday house in bizerte. They enjoyed typical Tunisian dishes like couscous and Brik! They had also the opportunity to take Arabic lessons and have great conversations and cultural exchange with this kind family. They visited many attractions and sites in various parts of Tunisia: Carthage ruins, Sidi Bousaid, Matmata Berber houses.
