7 paramilitary troops killed in Bara

In a roadside remote controlled bomb blast in Soor Ghar (Red Mountain) in Bara seven troopers were aboard a military vehicle were blown here on Saturday. Unknown militants had reportedly planted the remote controlled bomb in a roadside to target the FC soldiers, sources told.

Following the roadside bomb blast, which resulted in the killing of the seven troopers, security forces from different posts started heavy shelling targeting the suspected hideouts of the militants in Bara. The security forces arrested some eleven local persons during the search operation. Tension was on the peak in Bara after this tragic incident in Bara.

Meanwhile security forces targeted suspected points of alleged militants n Ziarai mountain in Khyber in the night time following the firing of the militants on the posts of security forces, sources told. Security forces hit the suspected places in the mountains in the nighttime with heavy weapons.

These incidents are a prelude to the deteriorating law and order situation in the Khyber Agency. The common people are again in confusion while seeing the upsurge in the terror related activities in Khyber Agency.
